Mira Road crane victim’s father hospitalised after five-day hunger strike over FIR demand against builder

Abdul Aziz Khokar, father of crane victim Muzammil Khokar, was hospitalized after a five-day hunger strike demanding an FIR against builder JP Infra.

Khokar was shifted to the ICU at Cordis Criticare Hospital in Mira Road East after his blood sugar and blood pressure dropped.

Kashigaon police registered an FIR against the crane operator and employees of the construction firm, but senior executives of JP Infra were not named.

Khokar filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court regarding the FIR; his health deteriorated shortly after.

Muzammil Khokar died on July 16 when a 100+ foot crane toppled from an under-construction parking building in Mira Road.
