India to build monastery in Nepal's Solukhumbu, gateway of Everest

India is funding construction of Ngagyur Nyingma Palyul Dhongag Chholing Monastery in Nepal's Solukhumbu district.

Financial assistance of approximately 33 million Nepali rupees is provided under India's HICDP.

Foundation stone was laid by officials from India and Nepal.

Solukhumbu is the gateway to Mount Everest.
