Punjab: 8,069 cancer patients treated under cashless CM health scheme

,069 cancer patients in Punjab received cashless treatment under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana since its launch in January 2026.

,285 beneficiaries were aged 36–60, 3,376 above 60, 399 aged 17–35, and 9 children below 17.

The Punjab government spent ₹20.22 crore on cancer treatment under the scheme.

Monthly treatment numbers rose from 842 in January to 1,468 in June 2026.

Health minister Balbir Singh urged early diagnosis for better treatment outcomes.
