Woman, 2 kids jump into pond in Kolar, die

A 40-year-old woman, S Pramila, and her two children, Swapna (22) and Charan (17), died by suicide by jumping into an agricultural pond in Chatrakodihalli village, Kolar.

Pramila was a domestic help; her husband Suresh is an auto driver. The family faced financial issues, including plans to sell their house, which Pramila opposed.

Swapna had completed her final-year degree exams and planned to pursue postgraduate studies; Charan had completed II PU and appeared for NEET.

The pond owner discovered the bodies around 7:30 a.m. after they jumped in late Friday night.
