EPFO starts crediting 8.25% interest for FY2025-26

EPFO credited annual interest at 8.25% for FY2025-26 starting July 15, 2026.

Interest is credited in phases, so delays in reflecting in passbooks do not reduce the amount earned.

Interest is calculated on monthly running balances but credited annually after the government notifies the rate.

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said interest processing covers about 34 crore member accounts.

Members can check updated balances via EPFO SMS alerts or the EPF passbook on the unified member portal.
