Dutch Reunion : Yashdeep Siwach carries mother Pritam's legacy to the WC

Yashdeep Siwach will make his senior World Cup debut in the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30, 2026.

His mother, former India women's hockey captain Pritam Rani Siwach, played in the 1998 World Cup in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Yashdeep and Pritam are the first known mother-son duo in Indian hockey to both feature at the World Cup.

Pritam captained India and won gold at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
