MP Kang takes up Punjab’s railway infra requirements with Vaishnaw
AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang met Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Delhi.
Kang submitted three representations on long-pending railway infrastructure and public safety issues in Punjab.
He urged approval for a Railway Under Bridge (RUB) at the Nawanshahr railway crossing on the Rahon-Ghakuwal-Kariyam Road in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.
Kang also requested an underpass at the Kariyam Road crossing, citing 8-10 hours daily gate closures.
The proposed RUB aims to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion for thousands of commuters, farmers, and traders.
