VA Tech WABAG Wins BWSSB Order; Shares Rise 4.5%

VA Tech WABAG secured a 'Large' order from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for wastewater treatment projects in Bengaluru.

The contract includes Design, Build and Operate of a 100 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant and a 25 MLD Tertiary Treatment Plant at Byramangala, and a 60 MLD STP at Bellandur.

The EPC phase is expected to be completed within 36 months, followed by a seven-year Operations and Maintenance period.

The projects will use Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal and Ultrafiltration technology to produce high-quality treated water.

The company's share price surged 4.56% to Rs 2,081.90 after the order announcement.
