Maha Metro, MSRDC to begin feasibility study for Dive Ghat tunnel project: Pune collector

Maha Metro and MSRDC will begin a joint feasibility study for the proposed twin underground tunnel project at Dive Ghat.

Under the proposal, one tunnel will carry a Metro rail corridor, while the other will be used for vehicular traffic.

The project aims to reduce travel time between Pune city and the upcoming Purandar airport to around 20 minutes.

Pune district collector Jitendra Dudi said the state government intends to complete the tunnel before the Purandar airport becomes operational.

Dive Ghat is a mountain pass on the Pune-Saswad Road about 10 km from Hadapsar.
