National Stock Exchange (NSE) settled past regulatory lapses with Sebi for Rs 1,491 crore.
Sebi accepted revised settlement terms, demanding an additional Rs 714.74 crore beyond the Rs 776.47 crore already deposited.
The settlement resolves co-location and dark-fibre cases involving preferential access to trading systems for some brokers.
NSE had proposed settling the co-location case for Rs 1,223.6 crore and the dark-fibre case for Rs 267.7 crore.
The settlement clears the path for NSE's initial public offering (IPO).
