Ludhiana: Two dairy owners booked for discharging cow dung in drain

Two dairy owners Muktiar Singh and Pappy were booked for discharging cow dung into drains at Haibowal Dairy Complex.

The FIR was registered at PAU police station on Sunday based on a complaint by the Municipal Corporation's nodal officer forwarded on June 29.

The dairy complex has suffered waterlogging due to clogged drains from cow dung discharge.

The Municipal Corporation had previously warned dairy owners against disposing cow dung into drains.

Separately, FIRs were filed against other dairy owners for not installing water meters as per NGT guidelines limiting flushing to 100 litres per animal.
