Punjab: Emergency patients shifted as Jalandhar hospital sees 30-hour outage

in5points
Jalandhar civil hospital emergency ward suffered a 30-hour power outage starting 6 am Monday due to underground power line damage from sewage pipeline laying work.
Patients were shifted from the emergency ward to the trauma centre, which had power supply.
Power was restored Tuesday evening, but patients had not yet been moved back.
Medical superintendent Dr Namita Ghai said temporary power was arranged from another operational line.
Fault tracing efforts by PSPCL, PWD, and private electricians had been unsuccessful.
