Aaron Donald return: Sean McVay offers encouraging Rams comeback update: 'It's trending upward'

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said Aaron Donald's potential return is 'trending upward'.

Donald retired in 2024 and visited the Rams' facility in July for a workout to assess his fitness and desire to resume his NFL career.

The Rams' trade for Myles Garrett in June prompted Donald to reconsider retirement, as he told Pat McAfee in a text message.

McVay said Donald will wait until training camp concludes before making a final decision; camp ends on Aug. 7 at Loyola Marymount.
