World Scholar's Cup 2026: Greenwood High students win 215 medals, qualify 16 teams for Yale University tournament

Greenwood High students won 215 medals and eight trophies at the World Scholar's Cup Global Round 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, qualifying 16 teams for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University.

A delegation of 52 students from Greenwood High competed against about 2,000 scholars from 26 countries at the global round themed 'Are We There Yet?'.

The World Scholar's Cup evaluates students through debates, collaborative writing, quizzes, and analytical challenges; students compete in teams of three.

Grade 9 student Urvi Singh was part of the Rank 1 Qualifying Team, and another senior team secured the 16th qualifying rank.
