Sinner recovered from an early French Open exit in June 2026 to win Wimbledon without playing a tune-up grass tournament.

Sinner is the eighth man in the Open Era to win Wimbledon without a prior grass-court tune-up event.

Sinner expressed that this title was especially meaningful after the difficult loss at the French Open.
