PMC approves proposal to start therapy centre for PwDs at Dr Dalvi Hospital

  1. Pune Municipal Corporation's standing committee approved a proposal to set up a therapy centre at Dr Dalvi Hospital for persons with disabilities.

  2. The centre will offer 13 services including paediatric neurology, psychological assessment, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and EEG.

  3. Charges will range from ₹200 to ₹1,200 inclusive of GST, depending on the service.

  4. The Lions Club of Poona Eye Foundation will operate the centre; final approval by the general body is pending.

  5. The initiative aims to provide affordable, comprehensive rehabilitation services under one roof for children and adults with disabilities.
