Kerala HC rejects Pulsar Suni’s plea to suspend sentence

Kerala High Court dismissed a plea by Sunil NS, alias Pulsar Suni, to suspend his 20-year sentence in the 2017 actress assault case.

He was convicted on charges including gangrape, wrongful confinement, and assault, and sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment.

The court found no exceptional grounds to suspend the sentence, citing the gravity of the offence, his criminal antecedents, and bail condition violations.

The prosecution described the crime as a calculated sexual assault to record nude visuals for blackmail.

Actor Dileep, acquitted in the case, is facing a challenge to his acquittal by the Kerala government.
