Astros place RHP Spencer Arrighetti on IL with nerve irritation, recall LHP Bryan King from Triple-A

Houston Astros placed RHP Spencer Arrighetti on the 15-day injured list with nerve irritation in his right foot.

Arrighetti left Friday's game after warming up for the second inning, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks in the first.

The Astros recalled LHP Bryan King from Triple-A Sugar Land to replace Arrighetti.

Arrighetti is 7-5 with a 4.60 ERA in 17 starts this season.

King, who had a 2.03 ERA before four rough outings, is 2-3 with six saves and a 3.40 ERA overall.
