Suicide on Yellow Line disrupts Metro for over 2 hrs

A passenger died by suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at Huskur station on Namma Metro's Yellow Line around 5:50 pm.
Metro services were suspended between Bommasandra and Electronics City for over two hours, restoring normal operations at 8 pm.
The deceased was identified as Rajesh Hiremath, 37, a social media content creator from Hebbagodi, who was reportedly depressed over job issues.
No suicide note was found; the train operator applied emergency brakes and alerted authorities.
BMRCL will process refunds for curtailed online ticket journeys on Tuesday.
