India's 1st Geothermal Wells Commissioned At 14,000 Feet In Ladakh

India's first geothermal wells were commissioned in Ladakh at an altitude of 14,000 feet.

Two deep wells were established.

The wells are expected to pave the way for a one-megawatt geothermal power plant.

The project was commissioned by NTPC.

This marks a milestone in India's renewable energy efforts.
