Gdynia, Poland's interwar modernist port city, wins UNESCO heritage status

Gdynia's modernist city centre gained UNESCO World Heritage status.

The Baltic port city was built almost entirely between WWI and WWII.

The designation was announced during Gdynia's centenary year.
