Inside Ahmedabad's mega plan to host the 2030 CWG and 2036 Olympics

Ahmedabad has acquired 1,000 acres for its Games plan, compared to Paris's 400 acres for the 2024 Olympics.

The city is using the 2030 Commonwealth Games (CWG) as a dress rehearsal for a 2036 Olympics bid.

The Rs 5,050-crore Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave (SVPSE) is being built around Narendra Modi Stadium.

The enclave will include a 12,000-seat aquatics centre, an 18,000-seat tennis centre, and indoor arenas for multiple sports.

Gujarat is adopting an asset utilisation model to ensure venues have a purpose after the Games.
