Minister calls for stronger public-private partnership to build healthier India

Union MoS Anupriya Patel called for stronger public-private partnership to achieve accessible, affordable and quality healthcare for all.

She addressed MEDHARMONY 2026 in Pune, highlighting government initiatives like Ayushman Bharat and digital health platforms.

Patel emphasized the role of technology, including the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and telemedicine, in improving healthcare access, especially in underserved areas.

She urged healthcare professionals to support national efforts against non-communicable diseases, antimicrobial resistance and vaccine hesitancy.

Patel said India has potential to become a global hub for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical device innovation.
