Netflix doc traces Angela Diaz's toxic relationship with US marshal

Angela Connell, later Angela Diaz, met US Deputy Marshal Ian Diaz at a Starbucks in Anaheim shortly after his relationship with Michelle Hadley ended.

Angela claimed she was pregnant with twins, but prosecutors said the pregnancy never existed.

Authorities accused Angela of faking cervical cancer, pretending to be an attorney, forging doctors' notes, and impersonating two of Ian's former girlfriends via email.

Angela and Ian reported threatening emails from 'Lilithistruth,' leading to Michelle Hadley's arrest on charges that could have resulted in life imprisonment; investigators later determined Angela was responsible.

Angela Diaz completed her prison sentence and was released on July 19, 2020, remaining on parole until July 19, 2021.
