Centre launches new portal, programme to make Panchayats self-reliant

Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh launched the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Programme to strengthen financial self-reliance of Panchayats.

The SAMARTH Panchayat Portal uses technology to improve governance and revenue management in Panchayats.

Model OSR Rules were introduced to boost Panchayats' own-source revenues.

The initiatives support the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by enhancing Panchayat capacity.
