Uttar Pradesh Plans India’s First Data Corridor; BCG To Prepare Roadmap For 6 GW Digital Infrastructure Network

The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to prepare a roadmap for India's first dedicated Data Corridor.

The first phase of the corridor aims to develop 6 GW of data centre capacity, with each gigawatt costing an estimated Rs 1 lakh crore.

BCG will assess land, power, and water resources, including geotechnical investigations, before recommending locations.

Uttar Pradesh currently has 350 MW of operational data centre capacity, while India has about 1.7 GW operational and 1.8 GW under development.
