US Consulate in Toronto Targeted By Gunfire For Second Time This Year, Police Probe on

A gunshot was fired outside the U.S. Consulate in downtown Toronto early Monday, with no injuries reported.

Police found evidence of a weapon and a shell casing, and damage to the front of the building.

A white sedan was seen fleeing the scene; police briefly pursued but discontinued due to high speed.

This is the second such incident in 2026, following a March shooting at the same building.

Police increased security at the consulate after the March incident, and three people were arrested in connection with that shooting.
