UP plans defence, FDI conclave ahead of assembly polls to boost investment

UP government plans Defence and FDI Conclave-2026 in Lucknow to attract global investment for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC).

Conclave aims to position UP as India's premier defence manufacturing hub, with participants including HAL, BEL, Tata, Adani, Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and DRDO.

Event is scheduled tentatively for September–October 2026, prior to the 2027 assembly elections.

It is one of three major investment drives this year, alongside the 4th UPITS and a Ground Breaking Ceremony.

State highlights strategic location, expressway connectivity, single-window clearance, and improved law and order as selling points.
