Himachal cabinet expansion on cards: Sukhu

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced the expansion and reshuffle of the Himachal Pradesh cabinet will take place soon, as stated in Chamba on Saturday.

Sukhu met senior Congress leaders, including general secretary KC Venugopal, to discuss cabinet expansion, ministerial portfolio reallocation, and appointment of a Deputy Speaker.

The cabinet has one vacancy, and the post of Deputy Speaker of the state legislative assembly is also to be filled.

Sukhu said the state government allocated an additional ₹250 crore to complete the Government Medical College, Chamba at Sarol, a project started under the previous BJP government.

Sukhu said the government will act against anyone who amassed wealth through corruption, irrespective of political affiliation, and denied political vendetta behind investigations.
