Four Mumbai cricketers appear for Delhi Capitals selection trials
Four Mumbai cricketers — Ayush Vartak, Ayaz Khan, Divyaansh Saksena, and Vedant Gore — are taking part in Delhi Capitals selection trials at Just Cricket Academy in Bengaluru from Monday to Wednesday.
The trials are overseen by Delhi Capitals' new coaching group: Sourav Ganguly (expected head coach), Yuvraj Singh (batting coach), and Amit Mishra (spin bowling coach).
Ayaz Khan earned attention for his highest batting average (204) in the BCCI Under-23 One-Day Tournament last season, including a 104 off 54 balls and an unbeaten 99 off 41 balls.
Divyaansh Saksena won the Orange Cap in this year's T20 Mumbai League with 261 runs, including a 17-ball fifty, and had played one Ranji Trophy match for Mumbai.
Ayaz scored 174 runs in five matches for MSC Maratha Royals in the 2026 T20 Mumbai League and was leading run-scorer in the Times Shield A Division with 489 runs.
