Man leaves Mumbai, starts homestays in Uttarakhand

Raghav Sharma relocated from Mumbai to Kotabagh, Uttarakhand, nine years ago seeking a slower, intentional lifestyle.

He runs three homestays with his partner, Garima Bajaj, who pursues remote PhD research at IIT Madras.

Sharma earns approximately ₹15 LPA from homestays, with two more in development.

His homestays use solar panels for electricity, eliminating electricity bills, and he lives on-site rent-free.
