'Govt-ordered probe an eyewash': Tripura Congress MLA demands judicial inquiry into DGP Anurag Dhankar's death

Tripura Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman demanded a judicial probe into the unnatural death of state DGP Anurag Dhankar.

Barman called the government-ordered probe by a three-member team led by West Tripura SP Namit Pathak an eyewash.

Dhankar was found dead at the state police headquarters in Agartala on July 20th.

Barman alleged the honest DGP was heckled over some issues days before his death.

He expressed disappointment that the Tripura high court did not take suo motu cognisance of the death.
