Trump blasts Pirro after she refutes his claim that Reflecting Pool was damaged by vandals

President Donald Trump criticized U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro after her office moved to drop criminal charges against former Olympian David Hearn, accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
Pirro's court filing said damage to the pool was caused by a botched contractor installation and the rush to complete the project before the America 250 celebration, not vandalism.
The dismissal was an embarrassment for the Justice Department, which had previously echoed Trump's claims of vandalism.
Government lawyers cited new documents from the Interior Department and a visual inspection showing widespread damage, including in the middle of the pool, unlikely to be caused by a vandal.
Hearn's legal team criticized Trump and Pirro and said they are considering legal remedies.
