15 booked for forging power of attorney to grab Ambala church property

Ambala police registered an FIR against 15 people for cheating, criminal conspiracy, and forgery to grab four plots on 2,529 sq yds of land in Church of North India (CNI) Compound in Ambala City.
The property is part of Philadelphia Hospital, established in 1883 on 33 acres, owned by Church of North India Trust Association (CNITA).
FIR was filed by Dr Sunil Kumar Sadiq, hospital director, under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections at Ambala city police station.
Accused Joseph William allegedly forged a general power of attorney and registered it with sub-registrar, Ram Shahar, Solan, then executed four sale deeds in conspiracy with others.
First sale deed for ₹70 lakh of 338.330 sq yds was executed on April 22, 2026, in favor of Preeti Sharma, Poonam, and Rishi Gaur.
