Manipur: Crystal meth worth ₹85 crore seized, suspected drug peddler arrested

Security forces seized 6.2 kg of crystal methamphetamine worth ₹85 crore in Manipur's Imphal West district.

Suspected drug peddler Md Yusub alias Kaki alias Jakir, a 41-year-old resident of Imphal East, was arrested.

The joint operation was conducted by the 164 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), Koirengei, and the Imphal West district commando unit.

The drugs were seized from Khuman Lampak area in Imphal West on Saturday at around 4 pm.

A case was registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
