The viral video shows Chanu, who lost her right leg in a childhood road accident, navigating the flat escalator with encouragement from Ulhas, Vice President of the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India.

Chanu is part of India's women's 3x3 wheelchair basketball team, which qualified for Glasgow 2026 after a strong performance at the 2025 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships.

The Commonwealth Games 2026, running from July 23 to August 2 in Glasgow, Scotland, mark India's debut in wheelchair basketball at the event.
