Tadej Pogacar wins record-equalling fifth Tour de France title in dominant 2026 victory

Tadej Pogacar won the 2026 Tour de France, his fifth title, equaling the record held by Eddy Merckx, Miguel Indurain, Jacques Anquetil, and Bernard Hinault.

Pogacar finished 6 minutes 26 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel, with Isaac del Toro third on his Tour debut.

Pogacar collected five stage victories in this Tour, bringing his career total to 26.

The final stage was shortened to 55 miles and held entirely in Paris due to wildfires in southwest France.

Mathieu van der Poel won the final stage sprint on the Champs-Elysees, while Pogacar crossed safely 30th to secure his overall win.
