101 murder accused among 989 identified in CJP protest: Delhi police officials

Delhi police identified 2,873 people through CCTV footage from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Chalo Sansad march on July 20, 2026.
Of those identified, 989 had criminal antecedents, including 101 accused in murder cases and 284 in dacoity and robbery cases.
Among the 101 murder accused, 42 have been booked in two or more cases, and 12 have criminal histories spanning at least 10 cases.
The identified individuals also include 92 accused of sexual assault, 135 in snatching cases, 229 under the Arms Act, and 67 under the NDPS Act.
The CJP-led protests began after the NEET examination was scrapped over alleged paper leaks, demanding the resignation of then Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
