A slum board superintendent was assaulted while supervising electoral roll revision (SIR) in Devara Jeevanahalli, Bengaluru.
The assault occurred after the superintendent intervened in an argument between youths and booth level officers over an SIR form.
The accused, Yarab (23) and Dastagir (27), punched the superintendent, causing injuries to his lip and eye.
Two suspects were arrested by DJ Halli police; others, including Iqbal, are under investigation.
The superintendent filed a complaint after treatment at Dr Ambedkar Hospital.
