MLA Ayali offers Dakha seat to Paramjit Kaur Khalra

Mullanpur Dakha MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali offered to step aside from the Dakha seat in the upcoming Punjab assembly polls for Paramjit Kaur Khalra, wife of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.

Paramjit Kaur Khalra is a prominent human rights voice since her husband's disappearance in 1995, and recently returned to spotlight after the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer film "Satluj" based on Jaswant Singh Khalra was released and withdrawn from ZEE5.

Ayali stated he joined Akali Dal Waris Punjab De without seeking personal political gains, did not demand an assembly ticket or organizational post, and urged Panthic unity.
