NCB seizes 5kg heroin smuggled from Pakistan in Poonch, 1 held

NCB seized 5 kg of high-grade heroin in Kosalyain village, Poonch district, suspected to be smuggled from Pakistan.

One alleged smuggler was arrested during the raid on Saturday.

The contraband was packed in five packets and was meant to be transported through an organized cross-border narcotics network.

Investigators are working to identify the intended recipients, cross-border handlers, and local network involved.

This is one of the largest drug seizures in the border district in recent years.
