Bengaluru: Four Booked for Dumping Garbage at BBMP-Cleaned Spot, FIR Registered

Four residents were booked for dumping garbage at a BBMP-cleaned and beautified spot in Bengaluru, with FIR at Banaswadi Police Station.

Shweta, Deputy Chief Manager of BBMP's Solid Waste Management Department, lodged complaint under Section 280 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Roshan, Kamaraj, Rudra, and Mani.

Accused allegedly dumped garbage at a black spot cleared during a special drive by BBMP East Zone, and refused to pay the fine imposed.

Municipal Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar warned strict legal action against dumping at permanently cleared sites in East Zone.

Public questioned selective enforcement, noting lack of similar action in alleged corruption and property tax cases.
