Periodic evaluation of teachers key to quality education: Rajasthan Governor

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde proposed periodic evaluation of teachers every five years to improve quality education.

Bagde said the evaluation would not affect teachers' jobs or pension benefits.

He spoke at a national workshop titled "Healthy and Educated Woman: Empowered Nation" in Kota.

The governor urged students to cultivate continuous study and ask probing questions, drawing on Indian knowledge traditions.

He also expressed concern over dummy admissions and directed officials to collect data on such schools.
