Mumbai Logs Highest July Property Registrations In 14 Years; Stamp Duty Revenue Crosses ₹1,200 Crore

Mumbai recorded 13,617 property registrations in July 2026, an 8.3% year-on-year increase, the highest for July in over 14 years.

Stamp duty collections reached ₹1,223 crore, up 8.9% year-on-year from ₹1,123 crore in July 2025.

Registrations in July 2026 rose about 2% from June 2026, while stamp duty revenue increased 13% sequentially.

Knight Frank India data shows registrations more than doubled from 5,139 in July 2013 to 13,617 in July 2026, and stamp duty revenue rose from ₹287 crore to ₹1,223 crore.

Shishir Baijal of Knight Frank India attributed demand to Mumbai's strong economic fundamentals and infrastructure-led growth.
