Samson vows to bat his own way

Sanju Samson said he decided before the 2026 T20 World Cup to stop worrying about outside opinions and play on his own terms.

He vowed to not be part of the 'rat race' and will trust his own instincts.

Samson scored three consecutive fifties in the 2026 T20 World Cup as India retained the title, but was later left out of the Zimbabwe tour after a form dip.

He recalled advice from Virat Kohli to focus on discipline and lifestyle to build a long international career.

Samson said he will play, enjoy the game, and be a good teammate, but will do it his way.
