(Weekly funding roundup July 25-31) VC funding drops to another low

in5points
VC funding into Indian startups fell to $67 million across 14 deals in the last week of July, the second lowest weekly total this year.
The previous week saw $162 million in funding; this is the sixth time weekly funding has dipped below $100 million in 2026.
The lowest weekly funding this year was $66 million in May.
Reasons for the drop include AI startups not attracting significant capital and an unfavorable macroeconomic environment.
Key deals included Arboreal Bioinnovations raising Rs 230 crore from EAAA, Omnivore, and Rainmatter; Sid's Farm raising Rs 81 crore; and Fixxly raising $5.5 million from Accel and others.
