VHP, Bajrang Dal seek transparency in Puttur temple projects

VHP and Bajrang Dal submitted a memorandum to the executive officer of Mahatobhara Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in Puttur seeking transparency in development projects.

The organisations oppose any road through temple land governed by the Hindu religious institutions and charitable endowments department without devotees' confidence.

They demanded a public meeting or consultation with devotees, residents, and stakeholders, and disclosure of project plans, maps, and estimated costs.

The memorandum was signed by VHP district president Krishna Prasanna, district treasurer Madhava Poojari, Puttur city unit president Damodara Patali, and Puttur rural unit president Jayanth Shetty Kambalathadk.
