Provocative remarks: Karnataka legislator CT Ravi refuses to accept police notice

CT Ravi, a BJP MLC and former minister in Karnataka, refused to accept a police notice over alleged provocative remarks targeting the Muslim community and referring to protesters as the 'tukde gang'.

Police visited CT Ravi's residence in Chikkamagaluru to serve the notice, but he demanded to see the FIR first and questioned whether his speech mentioned any religion.

Ravi argued that his remarks were directed at those who came to set fire, not against any community, and warned police not to act as 'puppets' for politicians.

The police inspector left after Ravi refused the notice, while BJP workers and lawyers at the site protested the police's 'discriminatory attitude'.
