Domestic LPG cylinders carry implicit subsidy of over Rs 700: Govt

Government said domestic LPG cylinders had an implicit subsidy of over Rs 700 in June 2026.

Retail price was kept at Rs 942 despite international prices surging due to the West Asia crisis.

Market price without subsidy would have been Rs 1,695.

PMUY users paid Rs 642 for domestic LPG cylinders.
