Mira Road crane collapse victim’s father moves HC saying builder must be booked

Aziz Khokar, father of a crane collapse victim, approached the Bombay High Court to demand JP Infra be named as an accused in the murder case.

The crane collapse at JP North Complex in Mira Road on July 16 killed Muzammil Khokar, 21, and injured two others.

The Kashigaon police FIR named the contractor, subcontractor, and safety engineer, but not JP Infra, the builder.

Khokar alleged police protection of senior executives by booking low-level contractors and engineers.

Residents of JK Iris Housing Society had warned the builder about the danger of the crane before the incident.
